Thanks, they don't look like primrose.. at least from what I saw when I looked it up. I'll have to agree with you though, it is a scenic desert landscape, for the time being that smells good too. They are easy to pull out of the soil, and I could probably spend an entire afternoon doing this. Besides their good scent, they do have a sticky feel to them also. The one thing I don't like about pulling them or most weeds out is the soil that sticks to the roots, which I also spend time tapping/shaking the soil off before disposing of the weeds.. I guess to prevent soil erosion(??)

There are a few apps you can download that will take your photo and location and give you the answer.

I don't know why, but I get this feeling those are little yellow pollen bombs.

They are in fact globe chamomile, which are classified as wild flowers(??), I guess they're not really weeds. They pretty much cover the area of my backyard that has bare dirt.

I am on a forum on Facebook called “Low Desert Gardeners.” We have recently had a discussion about Globe Chamomile. It’s leaves and stems are a little frondy and twisty. If in fact this is what you have, it’s now classified as an invasive plant. Here is a link to more information:
