If u dont want something just call goodwill, savers, sunshine acres or someother thrift store and they will come and take it for free. You can also put stuff on craigslist and let some one come and take stuff for free.

Many cities also have a "large item pickup" day or appointment you can call for, and then you can leave this stuff at the curb and they'll get it.

That is a good idea but I personally think it's better to call thrift store and have them pick it up because someone could still use it with the trash pickup it just goes to the landfill

I don't know about PHX, but only one or two thrifts in ABQ would pick up furniture.

Goodwill will come over and pick up most items. No sofas with a pull out bed. No mattress and no TV. Bed frame is o.k.

How is that relevant? I doubt a thrift from ABQ is going to come to PHX to pick up an item

It means ABQ doesn't pickup in ABQ and the PHX thrifts will not pickup in PHX.

I've had more problems trying to give stuff away on CL than selling things. I got to the point where a post for free stuff just told them where it was and that I'd delete the post when it was gone, with no way to contact me. Otherwise, I get a ton of questions about it, or if I'll hold it for three weeks until their brother gets his pickup out of impound or something.
