My boyfriend and I enjoy going shooting occasionally. Is there a place to do so? I'd imagine there are gun ranges, but is there public land where you can shoot long range into burms or anything? Thanks.

Just visit the SW valley, anywhere you like. No one will even notice your shooting, so you'll be able to enjoy yourselves.

Default Well...

In the past, some people have seemed to like Baseline Rd for shooting.

If you are referring to a Shooting Range, Laurel . . . you may want to contact Magnum Mike.

Good Luck

Try the intersection of Garfield and 16th St any Saturday night - well as long as you don't mind being shot at...

LOL . . . not certain, Charles, but I believe they're looking for a Shooting Range . . . NOT DRIVE-BY SHOOTINGS.

By law you MAY NOT shoot with a 1/4 mile of any occupied building. Beyond that you can shoot anywhere. So drive out some place far away from people with berm and shoot away. Please be safe however to make sure there are no hikers around.

Sycamore Creek area is quite popular - it is off of State Rt. 87 between Mesa and Payson - quite vague, I know. You'll find people shooting on the right side of the road, and a lot of people riding quads, etc on the left side. It's getting so crowded everywhere....you really need to be carefull.

A nice indoor range in the East Valley is Caswells.
