Yeah its time for me to pack up and leave AZ. The cost of living is getting to high for me here and now will taxes go up with Prop 207 and 208 being passed? No thanks.

Most of my friends and family in Arizona are independents.....they all vote Republican though.
Yeah...I fall in the Independent bracket. Not the first time we have voted for a D for President (Clinton in 1996) and our Governors bounce back and forth between parties. A little surprised but not really...and they are still counting so at the end of the day...who knows. The present vote count is right in line (historically) with our normal voter turnout in Presidential elections +100k (population growth).

On the bright side we may pick up an electoral college vote after the census is tallied.

People talk about the "blue wave" and blame California transplants but fail to mention the independent voters and McCain Republicans that simply voted against the current guy and his supporters. I think it's still a purple state that is trending blue but it's not there yet. I'm an independent that voted blue this year even though I probably could have benefited more financially from Trump if my #1 concern was personal greed. That doesn't mean my vote is locked on blue for 2024

Absolutely. We all vote for who we think best aligns with our values. I don't think it is transplants per se...sure that ran up the numbers a bit but it could just be that you've got dumb and dumber running at the top of the ticket and you have to just plug your nose, vote for one and hope the country doesn't explode. Get up, go to work, treat everyone as human beings and get on with life.

Did any of you independents and/or libertarians who voted blue this year bother to read the 110 page progressive plan from Biden and Sanders that they plan to implement?
