You said blacks were enslaved, couldn't read the bible and couldn't form their own churches. I'm just pointing out that it's all ancient history.

Stop bringing up the distant past. Black people can do anything they choose. I'll bet you'd cry racism if someone started a topic about gatherings for whites.

No, I gave historical reasons for why black churches came to be. They exist because black people were marginalized. Ancient history isn't less than 70 years ago. There are still plenty of people who attend historically black churches because that was the only church they COULD attend when they were a child. So yes, black people can do what they choose, including deciding to remain a part of a church and church culture they were brought up in or where they feel the most comfortable. I never used the word racism. You did. You have absolutely no answer for the OPs question, so there really wasn't any reason for you to respond on the thread.

Oh so I have no reason to express my views because they don't matter, but black lives matter. Right?

Bringing up how terrible black people were treated back in the day is stirring the pot. You can't write what you did and not expect a reaction.

To make you happy I won't post anything else on this exclusive topic, but I seriously wish we could all throw away this black versus white or red versus blue. We're all one race - the human race.

This isn't a topic. The OP asked for recommendations about black churches. This isn't about views. If you don't have specific recommendations that meet his criteria you don't need to respond. There are churches that represent a lot of different cultures and languages. I'm really not sure why anyone is up in a tizzy about someone asking for recommendations on where to find a historically black church. There are 8 gazillion historically white churches and anyone is welcome to attend those. The same goes for historically black churches. They represent black culture, they have black gospel music, which is a genre of music that anyone can enjoy. I know I do. Anyone can attend a historically black church. It's literally a matter of preference. And we all have preferences. Why can't the OP have his?
