I was wondering, for those in the Phoenix area, what temperature do you set your heating system?

For my zone, I set mine when I wake up to 70 and set it to 68-69 during the day, and 63 for sleep (although it never actually gets that low). We have two gas furnaces (one split into two zones and another one separate) with Honeywell Color Smart Thermostats.

68 for heat day and night.

A/c 78 during day, 80 during peak hours of 3-6pm and then 75 at night (8pm to 8am). I'm hoping with the awesome insulation in the new house we will be able to keep it lower in the summer and not have the unit keep kicking on. I don't want to do the "time of use" hours anymore.

Almost the same for me, 67 for heat in the winter. 80 during the summer day time hours and 77 at night in the summer.

Our heater stopped working a few years ago and tbh we don't even miss it. Not necessary in Phoenix.

I disagree. It gets legitimately cold enough to need it early in the morning and we have a well-insulated home. This isn't a tropical paradise where heating is unnecessary.

Note that we are in IECC Climate Zone 2, so there are a few days of heating. The only part of the continental United States in Climate Zone 1 (with near zero heating requirements) is South Florida.
