Actually, I went to the doctor last year about my bites. The doctor didn't know what it was. This is the Southeast! It could be any one of a myriad of bugs. Doctors sometimes know which insect caused a bite, but often they don't, and they usually just prescribe something to help deal with the bite.

When I lived in Phoenix a few years ago, I didn't know what was causing the rash/itching. That's when I got the Triamcinolone. Looking back, I think it was either mites or no-see-ums.

I understand there are screens specifically manufactured to keep no-see-um's out. I've seen nomads use them. Don't know how successful it is...
