The city has 120 calendar days. In fact, process servers often come during the weekend because they figure you'll be home.

120 days from date of citation or court date? i have spent more time worrying about this than the ticket is worth.

The clock starts with the date of the citation (i.e. the date the complaint was filed). They just don't try to serve you right away because they're hoping you'll mail it back and thus waive your right to personal service.

So when exactly does the 120 days start? I got the ticket on March 23, the citation says it was issued/mailed on March 30 and the judicial branch of Arizona site says it was filed on May 30.

Which is it? The process server has been here three times and was pretty rude to my friend who opened the door for him the last time this past Saturday, I'm guessing that might have been his last trip here?

Nothing comes up on me at the public access page.

The 120 days should start once a civil case has been filed with the court (see this website). I'm not sure why there would be a 2-month lag between the issuing of your citation and its filing by the court...my mailing date and date of filing are only 1 day apart. Are you in one of the courts that don't post any information on the status lookup page?

my info for the citation doesn't appear on the public access website but it does come up here...

http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/JusticeCourtCase/index.asp (broken link)

if my 120 days started when the citation said it was mailed/issued then today would be the 120th day. that would make sense, because the process server just started coming about two weeks ago and has been here three times during that time period.

Ah, it appears we have both hit our 120-day mark then. Keep a low profile this evening just in case, and keep us posted about any updates to your case status.

Thing about Red Light Cameras is that when there aren't enough violations to pay for the camera they shorten the yellow cycle. That shortens the time you have to stop and makes the intersection MORE UNSAFE than it was before the Camera was installed, but it is a Moneymaker.

We need a Ballot Proposition to ban All Cameras for traffic enforcement PERIOD. The Legislature is far too corrupt to do anything.

My girlfriend and I were in Phx and I rec'd a speeding ticket from DPS camera. They sent a form addressed to her and want her to fill it out and identify the driver and send it back to them. They mailed it to PO Box, if I ignore this and do nothing, whats next. They can't serve a PO box?
