If it hadn't been for the officals calling penalties on the Cardinarls and not calling them on the steelers, the outcome of this game would have been the Cardinals winning. And that's a fact!

From what I saw, all penalties called on the Cards were their fault and nobody else's.

Cards played like crap until the fourth quarter. If they'd played like they did and kept up the no-huddle offense earlier in the game, Cards might've won.

Questions now is whether or not the Bidwells bother to re-sign free agents (they let key guys go after 1998) and if Warner returns (I don't think he will)

Arizona could have had it if it wasn't for all those ridiclous penalties, even with that huge play just before the half we could have taken it, its a shame, next year.

Pendergrast also needs to beef up his defensive line and get them to actually tackle.

Kudos to the Cards. If you would have predicted 6 months ago that Arizona would be leading the Steelers with 3 minutes left in the Super Bowl, you would have been locked up. They went toe to toe and deserve lots of props.

Congratulations Steelers.
Yes the Cardinals lost the game themselves. For over 3 quarters they played like the old Cardinals of past. Penalties, interception, missed tackles did them in.
Now do we have to wait another 65 years for a chance to play in the SB again....

I believe they were named after the Illinois state bird (cardinal) because they were originally from Chicago. Ill have to look into that.

Anyways, the Cards fought hard and accomplished more than what most originally thought. That right there is enough to be proud of.
