Maybe the tea house fund is where the money is going. I'd wonder about the koi disappearing if the park was totally open, too. Maybe that's part of the thinking. I didn't know there was an admission charge, either.

It is very small but well worth the $6 IMO. I've been wanting get our family pictures taken there by a professional photographer but the garden charges something like $100 and of course, I still have to pay the photographer. I think I found a good one on craigslist that will do it for cheap though.
