I was in the Northridge quake, never will forget it! It was like a movie! lol Everyone was screaming, stairways were swaying, the pool was cracking and sloshing, and the brick fence was rippling like a rug being shook out. It was amazing and yet my band and I left at 4 am back to Phoenix with freeway bridges crashing down during aftershocks behind us. Talk about an experience! Never so glad to be back in Phoenix!

When I lived in San Diego it was only pics moving or falling down, never that bad for some reason. Now L.A. is another story!

The quake occurred prior to my going to the ranch yesterday. No damage that I was aware of.

Remember that I lived in California and went through quite a few.............

Or mayhaps like a low-flying C-130...?

You never know... its possible I may actually have felt one... already... in my life...

oooooooooh.... scary...
Actually spot on. I live in California at the moment and have experienced several of the small ones...much of the time we don't even know that happened, but occasionally we've ignored them as being a large truck passing by outside, or a low flying aircraft, or someone slamming a door really hard. Even the occasional roller takes a few seconds to acknowledge that it might be a quake (did I stand up to fast? maybe I just turned my head quickly or maybe that food I ate is making me a touch woozy.)

So you probably *have* felt a few quakes and never even known it.

Latest Earthquakes - Last 7 Days

Yes, I knew about the earthquake and wondered if it was felt. I check the posted website almost daily and sometimes several times a day. There have recently been earthquakes where activity is rare. I wonder what effect all the rain has had on this.

I have been interested in earthquakes since we were in Denver, Colorado, and felt two quakes that were 5.2 and 5.8. We were in Charleston last week when there was a 2 point something in Summerville, S. C.

Most of the time you don't hear about a quake until they get beyond three points.
