We had our own local earthquake early this morn, around 1 a.m., and I felt a mild rolling sensation so I knew it wasn't too close. The window rattled and the bed rolled just a bit. Very gentle. Below is the foreshock info. The second quake was a 2.8 in the same area.

More rocking and a rolling today in the area. A 3.5 near Lake Isabella and a 3.2 near Trona. Trona is near Death Valley.

We are only about 10 miles from the center of the 4.4 quake. It ripped through here with a sharp and powerful shock. The dam which holds Lake Isabella was already weak, and I guess they are all the more concerned about it.

Well you're pretty far inland. I think I'd keep a surfboard close by. You just might catch the most gnarly wave in history!

A 4.4 can be un-nerving so I understand. Wait till you feel a 6.1...life really begins to roll.

As to the dam, I don't know what the Corps of Engineers proposes to do. Do you?

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts,

LF
