What are some local delicacies to the phoenix area?

I can list many items, food and drink from my home town that are a regional commodity. But I have been coming up pretty blank when I try to think of some regional items for the phoenix area. What are some of your favorites that you can't get anywhere else?

Filabertos/Eribertos/Roberts - Small mexican fast-food places, great for post-drinking, or whenever, huge burritos for $5!

Deep Fried Scorpions - State Fiar Food

Sonoran Hotdogs - Hotdog in large bread roll with various toppings.

Lots of Mexican food of course, but I wanted to mention one of my favorites as a breakfast food: machaca. Good stuff.

You are....Tree ripened navel oranges! I moved here about a year ago and had never eaten a real tree ripened orange...and never really cared for supermarket oranges, but a friend gave me a real tree ripened navel and I am a big fan ever since! They are in season from November to March or so. I buy them at the "Orange Patch" Can't wait for the new season crop to come in. Also, fresh squeezed real orange juice, it cost just a little more than the fake stuff but is really worth it. Hope you give them a try.

Dates, which I think there is a date shake? Though I've never had one, but aside from Indian or Mexican foods, I would say since there are so many transplants from all over in AZ that have their favorites from elsewhere they bring with, that what is left is around fresh fruits and vegatables. Orchard fruit, berries, melons, etc.
