I am planning on moving to Phoenix within the next year and I'm trying to find a neighborhood that I would like. I want to live in an area that you can walk to things. Bars, restaurants, and stores. I have a dog and I am used to taking him with me everywhere. So I hope for a dog friendly area as well. I am in my early 30's, so I do not want a college area but not the burbs either. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Discussed many times before. The answers haven't changed much except that light rail is now up and running in Central Phoenix and Tempe. Some of these threads may refer to it as under construction.
