How about Beardsley to Happy Valley and 59th to 75th? . Unless there is a reason you don't want to be in Glendale? Some of the houses are now below 200 and all the schools are excelling.

Unless of course you are west of 303 but in that case isnt it Buckeye?

I dont use it often and have little experience with heading to Sun City from Goodyear. Havent looked a map lately either, so I could be wrong... BUT almost everytime I had to use the 303 it seems I had to debate internally if the commute west was worth the faster north/south travel.

But as you said in the previous post it depends on where in Sun City. SC Grand & SC west are easy off the 303 and worth it from goodyear, but for original SC the 101 would be a much better choice to avoid the backtrack thing.
303 is Cotton Lane which is more or less the western edge of Goodyear - but it is only 2 miles past Estrella Prkway. Cotton Lane now goes through to Estrella development over the river. My MIL lives in Sun City and we take the 101 to Grand Ave. She lives in the older part around 103rd and T-bird. It takes about 30 mins to her house from our place in Estrella going Cotton to I-10 to 101. You'd probably save 5-10 mins off the trip if you lived closer to I-10 in Goodyear. Pretty reasonable commute particularly with the freeway project about to open.

I find the 303 really annoying with all the lights and truck traffic. Seems you always get stuck behind a couple concrete trucks and catch every light. It doesn't open up until past Bell. It is, by no means, a freeway - just a glorified two lane road for a lot of its length.
