I used to love those tostados and colorado chicken tacos at Filbertos in Phoenix. I know thye got in trouble for paying their employees cash and the owners did some time. It was then operated as Burrito Brothers. What has become of those joints? What is their present day equivalent?

Any Mexican joint with 'bertos in the name are cousins from a large family. The latest is something like Julioberto's on Glendale. Also there is Fredrico's. These places keep changing their names but the employees and food is still the same. Quite a bargain considering how much they give you and they pack their burritos with lots of meat.

I highly recomment Fiesta Burrito; McDowell Rd/74th St in Scottsdale. A fat carne asada burrito is under $4

Bertos is gross... Just horrible food. Go with Someburros instead if you are looking for decent fast food mexican.

Before you go to eat at any resturants check out their food handling health status. You may be surprised at what you find.

Well, you can try to knock em or try to back em but either way the food is quantity for low cost. In todays economy that translates to value. Where can one get almost a pound and a quarter burrito with red meat, real guacamole and pico de' gallo for four bucks? Only at an Ertos that's where. On a personal note I like the food but I suspect there may be a substantial portion of illegal employees rolling my tortilla. This is a moral dilemma, I want to enjoy the food but I am afraid I am making it tempting for alien workers to come to America. I hope that I am wrong, but who really knows?

Anyone would have to be insane to eat at one of those places. They hire a bunch of illegal aliens who do not wash their hands after using the bathroom. I have seen it with my own eyes. Inside, they are full of cockroaches. They use expired food, with generally unsanitary conditions. How do I know all this you ask. When I was in jail, there was a guy who worked at Filibertos who was my cell mate. One of my other cell mates was bilingual who then relayed it to me.
