Yeah, I know. I was just going by the aesthetics and comparing Portland 38 to Optima @ Biltmore.

Optima is much more attractive but you pay thru the nose for the better views!!!!!!!

I do love the colors of the Biltmore condo towers and the metal work as well.

Optima is much more appealing to the Eye, but looks extremely Pricey!!!!!
I agree - I love the looks of Optima and would, but they have higher HOA and higher property taxes, and smaller spaces, and more neighbors.

Also, it's the inside of the Portland 38 condos that I think are pretty cool, not the outside (except the pool area as fcorrales mentioned)!

I like the different building materials used and I want to decorate in a modern style.

Absolutely gorgeous, clean yet great attention to detail, and wonderful materials used on the interiors! WOW, I really like those ceilings and the wood and metal.

It's interesting how opinions differ; I think that look is cold and clinical. It's not for me.

This thread has me seriously thinking about buying if I move to Phoenix. I had no idea that there were places this nice for so little money! I could actually pay cash (if I was an idiot). D**n, I've always been anti-home ownership because I like the flexibility being a renter gives me, but I might need to reconsider since I am planning to stay wherever I end up with this next move for at least 3 years. Food for thought.

I agree, these are VERY nice lofts/condos in downtown Phoenix for a reasonable amount of money. Nothing too big, under or around 1200 sq feet but very well made and designed. After these few sell out, they will only increase in price and each of these buildings (Artisan and Portland 38) only have 3 or 4 units available.

I am done with big houses. I have one here that is more than I can handle and it is not even big in US standards. With 3 pets I need a smaller area to minimize fur pick up I just need to get over my home ownership fears....crap neighbors you have a hard time to move away from, not being able to take that sweet job in Phuket because it is hard to rent/sell the property....
