Of course if the OP disregards the citation, which it is, the possibility is when the OP comes back to AZ and gets stopped by a officer he'll probably have a warrant waiting out there for him.

Wont happen, time will run out and void it all together. Save it, from your friends in Arizona, enjoy. They charge for portraits at Sears, next time have the whole family in the front seat.

Just came back from AZ a few days ago and those speeding cameras are ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that AZ drivers constantly tailgate the heck out you even if you do drive at 65mph limit.

All the cameras have signs notifying drivers of their existance.

Speed limit is 65, that means the maximum speed a car can travel is 65 mph - not 77 mph.
No it doesn't. The speed limit for the cameras is 11MPH over which effectively means the new speed limit is in a 65 zone is 10MPH over, or 75MPH. I love the new greater guaranteed speed cushions the cameras have provided.

Citations or traffic tickets are issued in the State of Arizona for various violations of traffic law. You must respond to a citation, usually by paying a fine or appearing in court, or else a warrant may be issued for your arrest and your driving license may be suspended.
If you wish to dispute the citation, you must appear in court personally on the scheduled date, and enter a "not guilty" plea. Appearing in court gives you an opportunity to fight the traffic ticket in front of a judge or jury, and most people prefer to hire a traffic ticket lawyer to defend them in court.

Its ironic that Arizona cant afford healthcare for children but has funds to operate this scamera operation. Worse, they even employ little men who hide in vans along the road. Waiting to take your picture and issue the scamera tax.

Wow, you are so ignorant of the laws of Arizona it is not even funny. Newsflash... speeding tickets in Arizona are civil violations NOT criminal. A warrant can NOT be issued for your arrest on ANY speeding ticket even if it was issued by a real officer. Please brush up on your knowledge of Arizona laws before posting, ok?

Some speeding is criminal (20+, over 85) and a warrant can be issued. No?

AZ does not pay for the cameras, the state only profits from them. And the little men are no longer in the vans since one was murdered last year.

The state may be getting smarter. I spoke to the second person yesterday who got personal service from a freeway cam ticket and claims to not have received any notice in the mail. I have thought always this is the way to do it. With so many just hiding out after the mailing, it would seem financially smart to just go directly to process servers. The perps blithely open the door and BAM! - you've been served. Many more would be brought to justice this way and it would offset the higher costs. It would mean jobs to for the process servers that would be hired.
