I am currently in the process of moving to the Phoenix area for a new job. I will not be bringing my family initially and am looking for a safe but reasonably priced area to live. Can anyone give me suggestions?

Thanks

**EDIT** I will be working from a home office so I do not have any job location to factor. I will travel for this position and just need a home base that I can actually return to "intact".

There are so many options, it would be nearly impossible to list them all. What price range are you looking? Will you rent or buy? How far of a drive do you want to the airport? What things do you like to do for fun? Anything else that could narrow down your search will help get good answers for you.

With so little information I will recommend Goodyear in the far west valley. Close to the freeway for easy access to the rest of the valley, homes are cheap, city is growing nicely and everything is new and one of the nicest cities in the west valley. We've lived in Goodyear for almost two years and really like it here.

If you're young and looking for nightlife Goodyear won't be for you as it's more of a suburban family city than a hip party town.
