A Pinal County Sheriff's deputy was shot in the stomach Friday after a traffic stop on Interstate 8, according sheriff's officials.

Authorities said the deputy was shot by a carload of suspected undocumented immigrants and other suspects were being sought.
The gun used? An AK-47.

The deputy apparently pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 8 near Arizona 84 at about 4:30 p.m. Friday. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he was shot in the stomach, said Lt. Tamatha Villar, spokesperson for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

No further details were immediately available.

More details to come.

Suspected UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS? More BS from our lopsided media.

This is exactly why we need SB 1070 along with strict enforcement of all immigration laws since the media prefers to glamorize Common Criminals in this country ILLEGALLY.

Yes, I know. That is the way it is reported in the media. AZcentral worded it that way.
The only word I added was "carload of" and that it was an AK-47. Other than that, it's worded as reported.

Let's send our prayers that he makes it.

AK-47? That's drug cartel equipment. Prepare for an entirely different type of illegal if the drug cartels start shooting cops.

"Start", Mach50? They've been shooting and attacking Law Enforcement Officers on both sides of the border for years.

Thanks to our wonderful lopsided media, we've been "protected" from the truth.

Oh they know it was an AK47 and a car load of undocumented immigrants but no further information. LOL

Sounds like nothing more than a media sell job on the hot topic of the day.

Does this mean that the Sherriff's office won't go after these guys? The way I understand it, the head of the Pinal County Sherriffs office won't enforce the new law. Gee, does he enforce the law because it was a LEO but not if it's against one of the LEGAL citizens of the state?
