Ok,,, it’s the protective rubber on the floor in the cargo area of the back of the SUV where the hatch door is opened for view.

Nope, but you're very close! Here's the full image. It's the running board on my Nissan Xterra SUV. The duct tape you see on there was a quick fix because the rear mounting bracket on the running board broke while coming down from Crown King on that very rough dirt road, so I had to do the "redneck" fix and used duct tape to hold it in place! It worked!

I did replace the bracket, in case you're curious.
