Nice photos.

I have seen and been to all of those places in the photographs.

But honestly, they look way more impressive in the photographs!

These are lovely. Really good. But can I ask one question? #4, the way it's cropped, I get the feeling that there is something I'm NOT seeing? What's on the right and left of that structure? I think a pano with that great sky would be awesome.

Can't wait for the day that I can afford to travel to England and Scotland.

Again. Thanks for sharing this...they are very cool.

#4 isn't cropped, but there are buildings all around it. If you were standing at this point, you'd be seeing the court buildings in York on the right, a Hilton on the left, restaurants behind you, and a parking lot on the other side of the structure in the picture.

The structures in the photographs are:

#1 York Minster, York, England

#2 Castle Howard, North Yorkshire, England

#3 York Minster & Constantine Statue, York, England

#4 Cliffords Tower, York, England

#5 Big Ben & Houses of Parliament, London, England

Seriously amazing photos! for some reason, I've been craving England! I want to go so bad! These photos do a good job of holding me over until I go to London, whenever that may be! Actually they really just make my craving greater!

Hehehe...here's some of London to whet your appetite:

#1: Beefeater at the Tower of London

#2: Entrance to the "Gherkin" building, 30 St Mary Axe

#3: Baker Street Station, Bakerloo Line, London

#4: Piccadilly Circus

#5: London Eye

Whenever I traveled to London I took pictures of things that caught my eye; not necessarily touristy things like the Tower or Big Ben, since those have been done to death. I wanted to get a different perspective on London. I did take some touristy shots, but my favorites are the ones that show ordinary Londoners going about their daily lives or mundane activites like riding the subway or dining out.

In that case here's more photos of mundane London...not to say that London is mundane, but the subjects of the photos are:

#1: Departures board at Kings Cross station

#2: Lone patron at Ed's Easy Diner near Piccadilly Circus

#3: Rooftops and antennae, as seen from a hotel room near Paddington Station

#4: Train on the Bakerloo Line

#5: Raven at the Tower of London

P.S. Apparently it is now illegal to take photos in the London Underground without a permit. I've talked to a lot of people who have been popped for this in the UK. I was not caught, but that's probably largely due to the fact that I used a very high ISO (1600) so I didn't have to use a flash. Just something to be aware of if you want to take photos down there; you might get busted.
