I am not a photographer, but I will suggest 3 places to photograph in the future. One is in Stanwood WA on Pioneer HWY just east south of the main Stanwood-Camano HWY. I think it is fwy exit 236. Someone bought a piece of land in the middle of the cemetary and built a cul de sac street with about 5 houses on it. Very wierd to have a cemetary as your view from your back yard.
The other is the forest lawn cemetary in Hollywood, CA. A lot of old Hollywood stars were burried there with fabulous headstones and crypts.
By far, the most interesting is New Orleans. Because of the high water table in New Orleans, people cannot be burried under the ground so they are placed in an above the ground crypt in a coffin with holes drilled in it for one year and one day. Then their bones are swept into the back of the crypt and the place is ready for another person. There are crypts for families, organizations and, we even saw one for people who worked at the phone company! Due to the dampness, some of the concrete doors used to seal the crypts are warped. They make you feel almost like someone was trying to get out. Seeing this is a very interesting experience.

yukiko thanks for the heads up. I decided to go check it out. Here's a few photos. BTW, I'm not a photographer either, I just take pictures .
From the east side of the cemetery looking west. You can have a BBQ on your back deck and view the tombstones.
More views looking north
From the western part of the cemetery looking east at the housing development.
This thread kind of slipped my mind. here is the closest this guy has to a headstone. It is a new memorial they erected back in the early to mid 70's to Pere Jacques Marquette.
