i kind of get the same look by dropping brightness and contrast locally in spots and raising it in spots.... just cranking up contrast wouldnt look like that in the whites i dont think.... raising black point would make darker darks which would be a step in the right direction. it looks like the white point may have been pushed too as the cheeks and leg are almost clipped to my eyes

ill bet you nothing was really done , its just the way the lighting came out... it does look like the grass was darkened.


i have a filter in the nik set called bleach bypass which gives a look along those lines. its a very high contrast low saturation look. they use it alot in media today for a high tech cold look
