So, I know we all don't buy into the "ratings" and "lists" but I was reading some Akron/Cleveland news and saw that their suburb of Hudson, was rated as one of the 100 best communities for young people. It's a great place to live, so I thought I'd check out the list to see if somewhere like Sewickley or Mt. Lebanon made it, as those are 2 places I would say are on a Hudson caliber.

Our "local" community that made it -- INDIANA COUNTY

I would have never guessed...but I suppose based on their criteria, it fits. You learn something new everyday...

Huh? The only thing going on in Indiana County is the university. I guess if you want to binge drink then it is an awesome place. But, mainly rural Western PA counties with a bunch of old people punctuated by a college or two is not the place that most young people want to find themselves. These lists are so damn idiotic.

By "young people" they mean YOUNG people--this list is about communities they think are doing the most to help young people graduate from HS, plus otherwise address the health and well-being of children.

^^^Yes, it seems to be about community/school district cooperation.
