They need to get rid of Rotten Burger.

Going into a game with a pair of shoes that are two sizes bigger then normal and having it all taped and bandaged up to support his ankle was a joke.

Going against the best team in the nation with that type of attitude - knowing that you were not going to be able to scramble and that you were going to have to throw flat footed was like telling the class bully that you would fight him with one hand tied behind your back.

The most viable option would have been to put Charlie Batch in for the first quarter. That was when the game was lost anyways and just the fact that Charlie got them to the Super Bowl by winning 3 out of the first 4 games would have been enough evidence for me to say that he would have done a better job and if push came to shove - they could have put Rotten Burger in - in the second half - which would have sold more hot-dogs and hamburgers and paid for more of the commercials that the sponsors put on the boob tube between plays.

That game was nothing but a dog and pony show to me.
There was nothing to cheer about and the only reason why the Green Bay Packers did not run away from it was because our defense did such a good job.

How many teams would get rid of one field goal kicker - right before the Super Bowl - because he got in trouble, only to replace him with someone else that sucked even worse?

Pittsburgh has a good business attitude - but doesn't know squat about running a football team.
I would send a bunch of those lazy players down the road and keep the good ones and have a rebuilding year. A couple of the balls that were thrown should have been caught and a couple of times when Rottenburger threw the ball it wasn't because there was a good opportunity - but because he didn't want to get sacked or hit.
He would have made a excellent QB when coach Coward was running the show - but is a poor choice for someone who only got his job because of his color.

Three turnovers and the Steelers were still in place to take the lead on the final drive. That was hardly a dominating performance by Green Bay. Pittsburgh had better numbers all around minus the three turn overs. Bad day and bad timing for that. Sure Green Bay's defense and players were there at the right time.
Pittsburgh beat Green Bay a year ago with essentially the same players in a last minute shoot out. These two teams are very even. With Pittsburgh's deeper running game and still developing speedy receivers there is a still upside. Draft and possible free agent bolstering of both lines will allow the steelers to have a legit shot next year. And for the above comments about flat feet. Break your foot and see how back footed you are. Green Bay played essentially an error free game and thats it. They deserve the win. Pittsburgh should still be considered a legit contender next season.

Man, you really know football. You're right, the QB stinks, Cowher was a lousy coach, and the Rooneys know nothing about running a football team.

8 times to the SuperBowl, 6 wins.

Please tell me the drugs you're on, I want some.

As a Packer fan living in Pittsburgh I am shocked at how negative fans are when they lose. Green Bay fans seriously think of the team as " family". If they had lost they would have been welcomed with throngs of fans and open arms.

The last time GB won a Superbowl was 15 yrs ago, they lost the next year to the Bronco's. I was living in Wisconsin both years and yes we were sad when we lost, but we still loved them and greeted them on their return.

Tomlin is a class act, and the Steelers statistically outplayed the Pack.

That's the difference between sports fans in the Northeast and the Midwest. In the Midwest, they're sad if their favorite team loses. In the Northeast, they're mad if their favorite team loses. In the Midwest, it's all about effort. In the Northeast, it's all about perfection. If you think it's bad in Pittsburgh, then you should listen to sports talk radio in New York, Philadelphia and Boston. (It's not quite as toxic in Washington DC, but that's only due to the transient nature of the city.)

And there are plenty of people in Pittsburgh who appreciate what the Steelers accomplished this season. Based on my observations of various Steelers message boards, most people don't believe the sky is falling.

It matters not who outplayed whom. It only matters who outscored whom.

Most fans are at peace with the Steeler's loss... " Seven Can Wait ."
