Yeah, I know about the plaza (it's going to look awesome), but I was under the impression that they couldn't keep it running during the renovation because the electrical running the pumps was shot.

Not that I think they're keeping it off just to be jerks or anything. Obviously there's a reason . . .

Yeah, I don't know. I figured they would have it off because either a) they're doing something internally to the fountain bowl or else b) they just don't want everything to get wet from blowing water, etc.

I hope they don't change it much. I like the current height and style.

They're going to be changing the fountain bowl. It's going to have two levels. They're keeping it turned off for as long as it takes for Point State Park to be renovated.

I will say one thing, I have ridden my bike all around it and have had a look and what I have seen that has been done looks amazing! I think it will be great. I go to the point all the time for concerts and all kinds of fun. Sure is a huge asset to the city. Some of you all might want to get down there someday and have a look.

It's been a couple months since I've walked in there. At that time a lot of the side stuff along the rivers was still closed off. Have they opened up some of that since then?

No it is still fenced off. Have a walk across the pedestrian part of the Ft. Duquesne Bridge and have a look from there. It is really going to be amazing!

Most of the Allegheny River side is open and it looks great. The Point is still fenced off.

How far is it open? Enough to walk 20 yards? The whole point is closed and you can't go anywhere as far as I know. Haven't been there in a week or so though, so maybe there is some open?
