Big difference between downtown and the east end... downtown large real estate companies buy up the property and let it sit w/ out tenants. In East Liberty places like Paris 66, Shadow Lounge, Waffle Shop etc etc etc take these small business ideas they have and make them realities purchasing properties and making their ideas real.

Downtown, Pop up Pittsburgh is a nice idea but the small amounts of money and short leases don't lend to any kind of long term improvement. It's to small. I would like to open a business and I would consider downtown but for $1500 and a 6 months lease..suck it mayor.
