You could be right. After I did the calculations I figured I might have overestimated growth in the black population and underestimated growth in the Hispanic population. I do also wonder if maybe I underestimated growth in the Asian population, and Allegheny County will be 5.0%+ Asian by 2020. Pittsburgh has an emerging connection with India, and "Oriental" Asians tend to locate in cities with large colleges and universities, plus lots of white-collar jobs. (Having excellent suburban school districts helps too.) Besides, I bet nobody thought Franklin Park would increase from 2.9% Asian to 10.4% Asian in one decade, but it did.
