You missed the Laurel Ultra which was last month. I ran the relay version of it a few years ago and liked it. Might want to keep it in mind for next year. Sorry, I am too far from you to be a running partner.

Congrats on living in Ligonier. It is perhaps the nicest small town in the area.

Thanks Rob. I plan to run the 70.5 next year. We just moved to the area from NC.

There is a new shop in downtown Greensburg named American Adventure Sports. The shop itself seems like it is mainly geared towards cyclists, but they have all manner of outdoor gear. The guys that run it seem pretty well organized and well established in the extreme sporting community.

The bike/gear shop is nice, and it doubles as a coffee shop. According to the chalkboard out front, they have weekly group rides for cyclists; perhaps they'd be willing to organize some group trail runs as well, if people showed enough interest. If not, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

I think the guy that runs it is called Doug. He runs a smaller trail race/mountain bike race near Freeport called the Buffalo Stampede that benefits the local VFD. Great event. Ends with a BBQ at a local farm.

Have you been to this running shoe store in Ligonier? I haven't. I'm too far away.
