I believe it. I priced having historic windows replicated. 3k for one window. That doesn't include installation or anything. Just to have it made.

Granted, those were the largest windows in the house. Regardless, 3k is a lot of money for a window!

I would have bought that house in a heartbeat if the owner was more realistic about what it was worth.

There is still hope. She keeps dropping the price 10k every 2 months. Eventually her asking price will be the offer i gave her.

Brian ; that was a nasty temptation you gave. That house is HUGE.
I loved one in aspinwall ; will see if I can link it. But it was just beside the highway.

I have my eye on this one:

222 Homestead Street, Pittsburgh PA - Trulia

Now to convince my husband it would be cheaper to buy than pay $900/month in Squirrel Hill...

Thoughts?

Aw, man... I'm so disappointed.

I read the thread title and thought it was going to be about something like this:

By the way, I didn't realize Bing had updated with what looks like pictures from last fall (I was surprised to see our new fence suddenly appear).

I actually post my house crushes constantly on the Facebook page for my blog. You can like the page and see the houses here:

I have a crush on this old mansion in McKeesport:

McKeesport Real Estate - 511 ROMINE, McKeesport, PA, 15132

If I ever hit the lottery, this house in Sewickley would do:

Sewickley Real Estate - 406 Peebles Street, Sewickley, PA, 15143

It is a bit grand. I mean, it's beautifully decorated, but it doesn't look very warm. Maybe that's why I like those old mansions that are just a bit faded and worn out, like the McKeesport one.

Is McKeesport that bad that a house like that is only worth 80k?!???!

Lol, I guess. And that is the "good" part of McKeesport, too.
