I agree about the comparison the Millvale or Etna. Safe, working class, no frills kind of town.

Downtown Coraopolis reminds me of some of the Mon Valley towns like Charleroi or Monessen, but perhaps in better shape. There is an awesome Italian restaurant at 4th and Mill called Segneri's.

I'm not from Coraopolis but my best friend has owned a house there for the past 12 years, it's very safe and has affordable housing. I'd rather live in Coraopolis over Millvale if I was raising a family, but if I was young and single I'd choose Millvale.

I've lived in Coraopolis for 39 years. It is a small town, but a good town. It is safe. I would be more than happy to answer any questions. I was looking up some info on my town and stumbled across this site.
