I would be partial to any scenario that didn't involve (1) zombies, or (2) preppers having some type of advantage.

I think anything where death is instant, and where you have a week or two notice to live it up before hand would suit me just fine. Considering all the possibilities, I guess that limits things to a direct hit from an Earth Ending asteroid. That's what I'll go with.

I like the way you're thinking here. If it's gonna end, instant death, but a little time to LIVE until you die. Hehe.

Only barely related because it's too short, but look up George Carlin's bit on the 2-minute warning.

I also like the idea of having a little time, but it can't be too long. Soon enough, there will be a certain sect of survivalists that will kill the end of the world buzz. And traffic is going to be a real bear!

A rounding error at the Large Hadron Collider creates an unstable microscopic black hole, which quickly becomes unmicroscopic. We all flush into a new dimension.

Yeah, I can get behind that.

i don't actually know any preppers in life..but if those nuts took all the jokes and abuse, and it comes to light they do actually need all the stuff they have been storing away they earned every advantage they will get.

anyway this may be too close to zombies, but i prefer a highly advanced alien race wiping us out. just coming, seeing all the water, all the species of animals and fish, all the vegetation and wanting it. zapping us all to dust.

I would prefer if aliens come to colonize earth but first vaporize all earthlings. At least this way I can die knowing there is other intelligent life out there and hope for life in general.
