Anyone here park on the North Shore and then take the T to downtown? How does it work in regards to Pirates games or concerts? Do you have to get out of the lot before a certain time? Does it matter whether you have a lease or not?

I park at the West General Robinson Garage and I have a lease there. Lease holders can park on game days and there is no time you have to be out for baseball. If its Monday Night Football you have to be out by 6:00 PM I believe. If you leave before 5PM the ball game traffic is not bad so your only looking at maybe 5 extra minutes to get out of town. I don't recall parking on any concert days since I have been parking there when the T extension opened.

On average it takes me 15-20 minutes to get from the north shore to Wood St Station depending on how long I wait for a train.

Because the 6th street bridge is closed I have to drive to the 7th street bridge to get to Ft Duquesene Blvd to get to 279 north If the traffic on W General Robinson is bad I will go through the north side to get to 279 north. This is when I drive my car. So long as it's not a downpour I ride my motorcycle during all but the winter months and I can take the HOV lane both directions and the HOV lane ramps are right next to the garage and very close to most of the lots.
