Great job as always Pittsburgh with the marathon.
Though now I'm going to collapse

Annoying as **** having it go past your house, with disco-volume music going at the crack of dawn.

Yeah, I ran the half this morning and think they did a tremendous job. I didn't know what to expect with all the added security but it really wasn't intrusive at all. Everything went smoothly. The start waves for each corral seemed to move faster this year too, I was in corral C and was only 6 mins off the clock time. And it was a beautiful day too.

Did you run the half or full? Congrats either way!

Full - first one ever; while I did fine & enjoyed the experience I have no desire to ever do another ha.

Congrats yourself.

Ha, yeah. I did my first full last year. 13.1 was enough for me this year. I still got to experience the fun and excitement of the event, but without the pain and exhaustion afterwards.

Congratulations to all who ran. I did my first half last year and then my tendons said I wasn't going to go this year. The people who organize it and all the volunteers do a great job and really put forth the best face of the city.

Congratulations to all who competed! We live inside the main "ring" of the marathon route and were pretty much unable to get anywhere most of the day, but sacrificing one day per year so tens of thousands can accomplish something great is surely a very small price to pay.

Congrats to everyone who ran. As a sprinter, I was always impressed with endurance runners.

Sadly, we lost a runner out there today. Only 23 years old.

So sad! The comments section is blaming it on a poorly placed hill between the 11th and 12th mile.
