Ruggers Pub makes an excellent burger & has a burger might on Tuesdays where they are all half priced.

Gee, I am shocked no one has mentioned Bubbas Burghers & More. Everyone knows Bubba (Marc Snider) a DJ from the local radio waves. This is his place.
Never been there yet, but everyone in the media biz raves about it.

That's very near me, but I have yet to visit. First, I can't stand that guy on the radio, so that makes me prejudiced right off the bat. But my parents tried it, and thought the service was terrible and the food was ehh (the fries were cold and terrible). I've been to some of his prior establishments and was never impressed. Online reviews are pretty mixed on this place.

Ha! Plus Bubba's is deep in the souless suburbs (though not Cranberry) so I can't see you willingly making the trip out there.
I remember when I was a child and Bubba was the morning intern on the old B94 radio show. So I haven't been able to stand him for nearly my entire lifetime. At least you were spared that, only beening a Pittsburgher for the previous few years.

Five Guy's doesn't belong on the list. Most overrated burger I've ever had. Would rather eat one from Wendy's.

Can't speak for many of the options but the three contenders in my book are Tessaro's, BRGR, and Burgatory.

BRGR and Burgatory are neck and neck, but I give BRGR the nod for having better service. Tessaro's is good too, but the service is crap and your kids aren't welcome (even if they are behaved).

To be fair space in Tessaro's is a little tight. I don't mind places that don't go out of their way to cater to people with kids (and I have a 2 year old).

I understand Burgatory is opening new locations next to Heinz Field and at Market Square Gardens when these buildings are completed. I wouldn't doubt they could go more super-regional (like Mad Mex) if they wanted to.

To be fair, it's a bar that serves food, not so much a family restaurant.
