Yeah, a one-shot elimination game probably isn't the best time to experiment with the basic starter/reliever construct of Major League pitching. According to Hurdle, Cole is only on the wild-card roster in case Liriano gets hurt, is ineffectual, or the game goes to extra innings.

Tomorrow is going to be thrilling to the point of nausea.

Yep - let's hope it doesn't turn out to be as flat as it must be in Arlington right now. Losing a home game like that is not good. I'll be drinking beer - it's helps either way

I remember Johnny Bench ending Pittsburgh's return to the World Series with a home run years ago. Then again, he did it a few years later against Pops and the Family but to no avail.

Tonight was sweet. Have a nice trip home Cincy!

if the bucs lost, I wonder who would've been the most hated man to screw up their teams chance of a WS? that guy at the bucs game, or the cubs fan for interfering?

The atmosphere sounded amazing in PNC Park last night. I only saw first 4 innings on TV in Industry Public House (then followed online in a gig), but I imagine it was quite a night in there. I'd have loved to be there.
