Does Pittsburgh have one? Chicago has The Reader, Seattle has The Stranger..Those free weekly papers you pick up at coffee shop type places with local happenings, movie reviews, advice columns, etc.?

Thanks!

We have the Pittsburgh CityPaper. Every once in a while there's something worthwhile within its pages.

There's also the coupon thing that they seem to like to deliver identical copies of to me three times a week.

"Thanks for stuffing my mailbox full of your useless garbage," I say.

I find the City paper excellent for finding out what is on in town, reviews, etc.

It's in a similar vein to the Stranger, just less extensive. Seattle's a bigger town, so that's not unexpected. I'm an avid weekly reader.

It's tough to find the City Paper in the Great White North. I normally have to drive 2 miles to Mad Mex to pick it up. Then again, that ain't bad at happy hour.

I wrote to them and got off their mailing lists.
No more useless garbage for us.

One of the best lines I've ever read in a newspaper was in the Pittsburgh City Paper about 12 years ago: "You know what I hate most about Pittsburgh? Pittsburghers who won't shut up about how much they hate Pittsburgh."

City Paper is great. They should print an article about people from Georgia who give winter driving tips.

Yep, City Paper. I like to pick it up and read through it. The current edition is the yearly "Best of Pittsburgh" one, so be sure to check it out so you can get miffed about the choices they make, haha.

Nakama wins best sushi? Come on now how does that make sense, City Paper?
