I do not - just happen to have lived most of my life around them and haven't seen a store quite like them anywhere else.

I don't think we are *worthy*, Gee Whiz.
My brother lives outside Richmond VA and there was a similar grocery of reverence called "Ukrops". They are closed now.

I have an interview with Wegman's management next week. Not for a job, but for the honor of shopping there. From what I have heard, they will be sizing up my credit score, my car, my sense of style, my knowledge of gourmet cheeses and organics etc. It is like in that Steve Martin film "LA Story" It came out around 1990. It spoofs what it was like living in Los Angeles at the time. One seen has him having an interview with the head chef and manager of a trendy and pretentious restaurant. They check his credit and assets to see if he is worthy of a reservation. They decide that he can have a reservation at a date and several months down the road on an odd night and time. He also cannot order what he wants, only what they think he deserves. Anyway, I will cease with the sarcasm about Wegman's since I actually have never been there personally. This is what happens when you get a little bit older. You grow a bit cynical at times.

I hope you all had your fun ...
What I enjoyed the most about this thread was how no one could just let it go and everybody decided it's ok to troll each other.
Keep it classy, Pittsburgh
