I think this is a little disrespectful to do the gun thing on this thread. These are pretty horrific murders. Every time I see this thread bumped, I am hoping for some breaking news. Every day that passes isn't good as cases like this can go cold. Two productive people lost their lives in their own homes. Can't believe there are so few leads.

Then stop talking about how dangerous city neighborhoods are due to high prevalence of guns in the city!

That is more of a warning and is for the benefit of others in the area and those contemplating a move into sketchy areas. The gun thing is political and has no place on this thread. There is still a killer on the loose around there. Maybe you haven't heard, they still haven't caught anyone.

i got my gun n @! mine's legal. not sure the roving thugs around where i live can boast the same thing. not sure they care.

im a proponent of gun ownership (having had 3 friends murdered over 20 years) but a gun cant always help you. what would you do - keep it by your side at all times, with an itchy trigger finger? who wants to live like that?

this is relative to the chislett street double murder. chances are, having a gun in their house wouldnt have helped the victim. there was no sign of forced entry, after all.

a comparison of two states does not prove a case. i dont mean disrespect to the victims, but i feel my point is pertinent to discussing their situation.

I'm hoping right along with you. I truly believe the police have their man, they are just watching every move he makes and going over the case with a fine tooth comb to cover all their bases.

If they had their man there would have been an arrest. That guy they questioned obviously wasn't the perp or he would be in handcuffs. This case is way to high-profile for them to slow-play anything.

Not really true. When that thug shot and killed the guy hanging out with friends in Oakland outside the Original, he actually confessed and the cops let him go home. Then they arrested him later when they got all their ducks in a row. They might have their guy, but need a little more information. Hopefully they will hang that a-hole that murdered those innocent women in their own home.

I wanted to add I don't believe in the death penalty, but it is a figure of speech. Once someone takes another's life, they are in the hand of the law and they need to pay. Murder is one crime that we can't tolerate. That is ending someone. All bets are off on that one.

Pennsylvania only has lethal injection, unfortunately.

The Commonwealth also hasn't executed anyone in how many years?

We just torment them on death row for eternity.

Do you happen to know how long it takes for police to get DNA results back from the lab?

Indeed we do.

I'm guessing a long time, though that doesn't stop states like Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi, from churning out executions for textbook murder 1 convicts like butter (obviously, they do things much differently down there).
