I'm a little bit of a Grammar Nazi, maybe 7 years of German class did it. Hey, I combined two topics!
I only participate on one other forum, one that is related to my business. The spelling/grammer their leaves alot to be desired.
I started a thread on the Writing section of City Data back in 2009 about spelling/grammar and it ran for 5 years and 5900 posts until some jagoff Mod closed it and started his own, there goes my read count.
I used to correct people hear until I started getting my posts orphaned or hit with infractions. I still correct some posts by giving rep points. So if you get the following after using the non-word alot:
alot is not a word---Hopes, you'll know it's me.
