D&G is probably the only thing i miss in beaver county-- besides family of course.. and the hot dog shop (crafton/greentree is similar but it is not the exact same. I swear they use different cheese!)

anyways i love love love giovanni's downtown. Most likely because of the sweet sauce on their pizza!

Oh man, I was just about to say how much I could not stand this sauce, the one time I tried it. It was like eating a cake.

But people love it! I won't knock it as an institution -- I'll just say that it doesn't suit my tastes.

D&G is good stuff for sure.

Chili cheese hot dogs from Brighton Hot Dog are my favorite.

Any time I see people mention D&G, Police Station and whatever else square pizzas people like out here in Beaver as being among the best, I stop listening. My wife is a big time D&G fan, when we get it I always end up getting a hoagie because the pizza is bad.

Marios & Vesuvios are about the only things resembling good pizza out here. For a cheap Pittsburghish pizza that gets delivered, Giannis in Center is my go to.

Mario's is very good and Vesuvius pizza is also good. Everything is good at Mario's though. Vesuvius pasta sauce has to have ketchup in it. Pretty terrible.

Some people just don't like square/Sicilian/raw cheese pizza.

Tried both and don't understand the appeal at all..and I am not a picky pizza person. Brighton is probably one of the most below average overall food My whole family have had since moving here. I kind of think it is just a " good memory" place for folks. There are a few of those I have back in VA that my husband hates going to.

Interesting. First I've ever heard anybody complain about the BHDS. All fresh ingredients and the hot dogs are made local. Around Beaver I think.

Both D&G locations are always very busy and the BHDS owner keeps opening more locations. He's ventured into Ohio, too. Only bad thing is the drive thru window is always busy since the hamburgers are made fresh there's always a longer wait.

The dogs were average, fries greasy and chili simply blah. And others find it similar too. People like McDonalds too ..don't get that appeal either.

Works for me. Line will be shorter at the drive thru. It's usually so long it's sometimes better to call ahead or go inside.

Yolanda's in both Monaca and Chippewa also have good pizza.
