25 minutes to where in the city, though? Brighton Heights? Shadyside? Brookline? I'm pretty sure it would take more than 25 minutes to get to Cranberry from my house in the city.

You should try it. I can be to CEC, PNC Park, Rivers Casino, and Heiz Field, and many other places in 25 minutes.

Hyperbole is the only way to make the point. 25 minutes assuming no traffic and you live right on I-79. What a pleasant prospect that would be. Looking forward to the 80 mph HOV lanes to get that 15 drive nonetheless. I'm sure that'll be just around the corner despite all other urban limits in PGH remaining a stubborn 55...

You are not making it to Cranberry in 25 min during rush hour. No freaking way on a Friday night. And again, this I-79 discussion is only in good weather, no accidents.

I didn't say rush hour, Friday night, or bad weather. Most everyone traveling by vehicle is going to be delayed during those times.

In my experience, everyone in every suburb in America lives 15 minutes from downtown, until you actually have to get to or from their home.

Yep. In another city, it took me 45 min to drive the 8 miles to downtown.

That goes for many other cities.

I have to travel to Wexford (20 miles) a couple of times a month for work and it takes under a half hour to go from the south side to there in the morning which is ironically about the same amount of time it takes me to go from the south side to my office downtown (1.5 miles) in the morning if I have to drive in as well.
