Agreed. Not to mention they need a place to live and pay income tax. Every person that lives in the city of Pittsburgh and is working helps offset the massive amount of poverty there is within city limits. The city is in desperate need of working people living within its boundaries. This helps the school district add more money, gets roads paved and more. We need more folks working good jobs and less folks dealing drugs, shooting at each other, littering and not contributing to our city.

There was an IBM sign on the building above Forbes & Murray (above Rite-Aid) for a while in Squirrel Hill, but now it's home to another smaller tech firm. I don't think Microsoft is here yet, but my money would be on them coming here---to East Liberty, Oakland, or the Strip District---within five years.

The IBM Building in Pittsburgh is now the Steelworkers Union Hall in town, catty corner from St. Mary's at the point.
