In 2017 we purchased a house, then had the assessment appealed, resulting in substantially lower taxes. However our mortgage company has not updated our payments with the lower tax amounts and I'm having to send them 2018 tax bills to show them the lower amounts.

So far I've only received the Allegheny County tax bill and nothing from the borough or school district (which is where most of the money is). Anyone know if these get sent out, and if so, when?

Are local/school taxes not due in April like County?

And if that's the case, any idea if they'd send out amended tax bills for cases where your bill is lowered via assessment appeal?

I received my Pgh real estate tax bill about a month ago, with the early payment date of tomorrow.

I do not escrow my taxes or insurance so I cannot remember if they used to directly send the bill to the mortgage company or not.

I don't do business in the city but that seems very early or very late. The notices come in at different times but most are due in October.

Been the same time for at least the past 4 years. I just pulled the notice and it was printed on 1/12, early due date 2/10 but if not paying early then due 2/28. If you break it into three payments then there is a payment due every two months.

It must vary depending on where you live. I get separate bills. One from the school district, one from the Borough, and one from the county and they all come at different times. There was just one bill where I used to live. It was quite confusing for me at first.

Do you know when the borough and school district bills are sent?

I'm in Borough of Crafton and in the Carlynton school district. I'll have to go through my records and get back to you with the dates. Unless you're in Crafton, it probably doesn't have any bearing on when you'll get your bills.
