It may face some opposition, but the process has gone through the courts and the matter has been settled. The development will anchor that end of the retail core, and Target is at the other end. It will bring more office and commercial development to that part of East Liberty, and help further development along Penn Avenue going into Garfield. That part of Pittsburgh should have dense development like this, and it's within walking distance of the major transit hub at the nearby busway station.

Not a fan of Whole Foods at all, but this is a good thing IMHO, because it will free up the space on Centre Avenue for a higher/better use like another apartment building.

It's soon to be demolished, and will be replaced with a drive-in bank.

This will provide much needed part time jobs for students and so-on. Whole Foods isn't as good to work for as Trader Joe's, Aldi or Costco, but they aren't as bad as some minimum wage joints either. Whole Foods, since it went public is nothing like it once was as far as an employer and that needs to be noted.

I've actually gone a little more since Amazon bought them. No major changes but I've noticed prices are a little better. Love Trader's but Whole Foods has them beat on selections.

If you don't care about price, Whole Foods is great. If you care about price then Trader Joes is much better.

Yeah that is why I dont go often, Traders has most of what we'd want but maybe every month or two drop by Whole Foods for to see if anything jumps out we want to try. With the prime discount it is a little better but still overpriced.

The protesters have been given way too much attention already.
Life is not fair, and it's hard to be poor.
But that does not invalidate property rights in this country. Nor should it.
