Yeah I know Ben is near the end but I still feel like he has the desire. I think an injury always puts doubts in but if the Steelers make some moves to give him a little more weapons on offense for next season I think he will be back. Past next year, still not sure but I think we get 2 more years.

Nobody is saying they aren’t. It’s evident they need Ben back.

I hope he’s just toying with the haters who said he’s getting too old and needs replaced after last year’s 5000+ yard season, especially since they’re so quiet now after seeing Rudolph play.
maybe he's liking the sidelines, and has some talks with becoming a QB coach or something.
or, his wife is like "we have zillions...i need a break and YOU can pick up the kids every day at the school".

i would not be surprised if he chooses to be done, for personal reasons rather than the elbow or his playing prowness.

He already recently said he’s ahead of schedule and just said he’s more determined than ever.

I’d wager he was toying with yinzers that come up with crazy scenarios and assumptions, especially after those same yinzers were calling for him to retire/thinking he’s done, along with thinking Mason Rudolph is the future HOF Stillers quarterback. I can see him laughing as hard as I do when hearing/seeing these hilarious scenarios.

please back away from the egg nog! who is even saying Rudolph will be here in 2021, let alone a future HOFer? (I realize you are probably speaking in hyperbole.)

This will be something fun next season, when (if) Ben trots out onto the home field for the first time in almost a year, to roaring applause....

Yes I am, however, many, including some here were calling for Ben to retire after a 5000+ yard season a year ago. It’s right up there with thinking he’s going to retire for personal reasons after just making statements to the contrary.
