Edited to add this link also:

Southside Works Apartments Possible drug overdoses, unclear what's going on-there was a private party or some private event?

Edited to add this quote from the news article, from the apartment complex.
WOW!!!
It speaks volumes in the way it is worded IMHO to say "they weren't one of us, they just knew someone who lived here, who *IS* a good standing resident"
Really, not residents of your community??? Outsiders infiltrated your bubble?

QUOTE “It is important to note that the individuals that were involved in the incident were not residents of our community,” the release said. “These were acquaintances of a good standing resident, who apparently was not in the apartment at the time the individuals were found.”
The statement added: “It is our understanding that the group had attended an outside event where they may have consumed a toxic substance before returning to the apartment.” END QUOTE

anyone with info/knowledge about the party or event is to call 412-323-7141

Don't have much more info on this, saw it on CNN before local news. All men are over 30 & were wearing orange armbands. By now they would know what drug & what the event was that the men attended & left, but no one is giving that info. Even if the event is unrelated regarding the drugs, others from the event may know something-so why not tell the public?

Just saw this update:
"They believe this was an isolated drug-overdose event, not a widespread situation.

Police say they want to stress that this isn’t a case of drugs being passed around at a large venue in a way that could have affected other people.

However, they say they are concerned about a “tainted, potentially deadly batch of drugs.”

Goodjules, you were posting while I was editing/updating the above post.
It is sickening how the apartment complex is responding.

Right, they want to make it clear that their building is safe and their residents are not in danger. Nor are they turning a blind eye to potential criminality on the premises (though the "not *our* tenant" is a bit much.)

^^^^This one gives the names of the deceased.^^^^^
May they R.I.P.

I understand waiting for official confirmation of the bad drugs involved, but find it strange how they won't even state what drugs they think or believe are suspect. They can always revise it later.
Also find it strange that they think others won't be affected by any additional bad drugs that could be circulating ???
The suspected drug info could be stated because surely the survivors KNOW what they were trying to use & told someone during the investigation.

??? Heck, bad heroin was basically a public service announcement for months, & sparked an entire campaign for people to carry narcan.

Are they just being cautious about it because it involves middle aged professionals, or are they looking for the person who sold the bad drugs...Wondering if it wasn't a hard street drug, & the OD was from bad Viagra, or vaping THC.
