An article in the post gazette called “tale of two cities” has Pittsburgh ranked 31 out of 50 cities for tech jobs. It is in the hard copy of the PG but I cannot find it on post-gazette.com. They estimate 45,000 jobs in our area to be high tech. Roughly 3.7% of the overall jobs in the region.

The tech industry has to pay taxes, the medical industry doesn't. Makes a pretty big difference in the land of massive taxation.

The article discusses no profits trying to encourage more high tech growth in cities like Pittsburgh. This is front page news on the Sunday business section of the PG, written by a PG reporter. Yet nowhere to be found online.

The PG is certainly filtering online stuff.

No one really cares and people are probably starting to put you on ignore at this point, since you are a broken record of doom. I think Pittsburgh is too crowded for a good quality of life. I wish there were about 50,000 less people. Maybe with all your negative crap, you can influence some to leave? Good luck though. It is just getting fixed up more and more. It is hard to believe really. Life is amazing here, but there are still too many people.

What is negative about the article? It talks about trying to stimulate growth here in IT which is a good thing

IT growth, IMO, is an excellent thing.

In regards to having 50k less people for a better quality of life, it’s never been mentioned before and it’s simply an excuse for the lack of growth and the upcoming census numbers.
