It’s great that WV and you have those opportunities, however, it’s still a dumpy area.

Live here now but I lived there for over 20 years and I disagree. It's certainly a boring area as there isn't **** to do there nor does it have a lot of decent paying jobs but it's not a "dumpy" area. Downtown definitely is "dumpy" in virtually every aspect (hence why no one bothers with it), I'll give you but the rest is pretty good. Uptown is nice, lots of upper class neighborhoods if that's your thing, schools are good, easy access to here via 22 or Ohio, etc. If you want a true ****hole, then go further than Steubenville which is right across the bridge. I find it especially amusing you're saying it's better than Weirton...it's like, have you even been there to compare the two lol? Lived there a few years ago for about a year when I worked in Imperial - you think Weirton is dumpy, then you'd detest Burgettstown nowadays. Weirton may be boring but at least is still has places whereas the only thing Burgettsown has is Starlake. That and a bunch of rural housing and oil trucks destroying the roads there 24/7.

Overall, they’re both dumpy, but Weirton does have DeeJays.
